RIP Rajesh Khanna

Bollywood’s first superstar Rajesh Khanna passed away this morning battling with prolonged illness, in his residence in Mumbai. He was aged 69. He is survived by Dimple Kapadia and daughters Twinkle and Rinke.
The funeral will be held at 11 Thursday family sources said.
The past few months saw the actor frequently being admitted to hospital. In the month, as he was popularly known, was admitted to hospital due to weakness and fatigue but was discharged quickly. In the month of June he was yet again rushed to Lilavati Hospital complaining of weakness and was treated for two weeks.
Rajesh Khanna, whose romantic persona in songs like mere dil ke chain and Roop tera mastana made many a young womans heart skip a beat was Hindi film world first actor to attain superstar status.
He was last seen in a TV commercial for Havells fans earlier this year.
