Mumbai: Looks like 58 cuts in the ‘The Dirty Picture’ were not good enough for I&B Ministry to allow the film to run on TV. A popular entertainment channel was supposed to telecast the super hit film of 2011 today at 12 noon, but unfortunately, the channel had to stall it because of ‘unavoidable reasons’.

The channel ran a note which read, “For unavoidable reasons we regret to inform that the film 'The Dirty Picture’ will not be telecast today. Any inconvenience caused is deeply regretted.”

Earlier, the Information and Broadcast Ministry had told the concerned channel that it could air this A-rated ‘Dirty Picture’ only after prime time, that`s post 11 pm.

Director Milan Luthria, who helmed 'The Dirty Picture', is shocked and disappointed after the television premiere of his film was stalled at the last minute despite the movie being submitted with 58 cuts.

"I am shocked and disappointed that this decision was taken at the last moment. For the last two months we have been working on this and as per the rule few scenes had to be cut to get the U/A certificate. Don't harass us like this," Luthria told reporters.

One of the lead actors of the film, Tusshar Kapoor tweeted, "Sad that inspite of being acclaimed for it`s entertaining realism & having won 3 National Awards the regulatory forces have stalled the show.”

"In light of recent events that exposed the dark side of Bollywood, `The Dirty Picture` was well timed as it depicts a similar harsh reality”, Tusshar added.

Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar too is surprised and calls it "hypocrisy".

"A national award winning film cannot have a national telecast??? this is not an irony but plain and simple hypocrisy!!!! #dirtypicture. If the censorship is not a final authority then what is??? Complicated and blurred lines defeat the core of democracy!!!! #dirtypicture," Karan tweeted.

The channel was supposed to telecast the film at 12 noon on Sunday. But seems like we need to wait for the World TV Premiere of ‘The Dirty Picture’!

From quite sometime, there has been comparison between Amitabh Bachchan’s role in Department and the one in Sarkar. However, fedup with such comparisons, filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma finally breaks his silence.
The filmmaker insists that, besides Big B’s ruffled, grey-haired look, there is no other similarity. It’s only his look that gives the audience a feeling of deja vu.
Tweets RGV, “(Except) For the hair similarity of Amitji in ‘Department’ and ‘Sarkar’, of course there’s absolutely no similarity between the two characters.”
The director also revealed that Amitabh Bachchan’s role in the film ‘Department’, is that of a nasty man.
“For want of a better word, I think Amitji is playing a nasty sarkar in `Department’,” he further posted.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan does own the sweetest and the prettiest face in Bollywod. So, it did not come as a surprise when grafting expert and Padmashree horticulturist Haji Kaleemullah Khan decided to name his new discovery, a sweeter variety of guava after this actress. The fruit resembles an apple in texture and is sweeter in smell and has more pulp with softer seeds.
“The new variety of guava is very different inDeepika Padukone is one actress who paired opposite many heroes comfortably. After Deepika Padukone-Farhan Akhtar, Deepika-Imran, Deepika-Neil Nitin Mukesh and Deepika-Abhishek, the actress is now set to make a screen pair with Shahid Kapoor in Sabir Khan’s ‘Heer and Ranjha’. Sabir has already assisted in movies like Mujhse Shaadi Karogi and directed the disastrous Kambakht Ishq.
Now, Deepika Padukone is quite tall and is always conscious that she would look taller than her hero. Before the shooting of Karthik Calling Karthik, Farhan Akhtar had to actually stand next to her, and show her that he can match her height. However Sabir is quick to explain and says, “I don’t think it really makes a difference if the leading lady is taller than the hero.
“We opted for Deepika Padukone because we needed a face that could look and classical. Among the current line-up of actresses, only she could measure up to my script’s demands. As for Shahid, he’s an intense actor. I’m positive this pair can project the pangs of passionate love,” he added. We, on our part, are waiting eagerly to see this fresh pair create magic on the screen. taste, smell and look from the traditional and normal varieties grown in the country,” Kaleemullah told adding, “It took almost eight years to develop this unique variety of guava and no chemical fertiliser or pesticide was used in developing the same.”
“All measures were taken to ensure that the product is free from any possible side effect which chemical fertilizer or pesticide may have on fruits. One can get as many as 72 fruits on a 3.7 foot long tree”, Kaleemullah said

I have done a major stunt in my introduction shot. It's an open jeep shot. I had to drive over a ramp of cars, and there were three slopes, the right side was fully open. That was a very dangerous stunt and I had to do it two to three times for different camera set ups. That stunt was done entirely by me with no harness and no cabling.

People like 'Golmaal 1' so we made 'Golmaal 2', people liked that too and so now we made 'Golmaal 3'. So as long as people like the 'Golmaal' series we will keep making more and more.
But you are a bit handicapped by the fact that Lucky has no dialogues in the 'Golmaal' series…
No, I love the way this character has beendecided and designed because he is not just a silent character, he makes sounds and there is a lot of scope as far as improvisation is concerned. I love playing Lucky and people have accepted this character, so when I do 'Golmaal' I would love to play Lucky.

ccession of hit film in the period 2001-04. The couple were separated in 2004; Amrita now lives with her two young children. Amrita made her bollywood debut in 1983 with a vastly successful film in which she paired with the debutant Sunny Deol. This was quickly followed by a succession of hits, such as "Sunny" in (1984); "Mard" and "Saaheb" in (1985); "Chameli Ki Shaadi" and "Naam" in (1986); "Khudgarz" in (1987), and so on. Amrita made a successful pair in several films not only with Sunny Deol, her co-debutant, but also with Anil Kapoor and Amitabh Bachchan, two leading heroes of that era. After her wedding in 1991, Amrita undertook virtually no new film commitments; however, she ventured into negative roles in this period, a novelty for a bollywood actress. The superhit "Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman" (1992) wherein Shahrukh Khan got his first acting break, and "Aaina" (1993) were those in which she essayed such roles. These successes did not dissuade her from her resolve to retire into family life, and Amrita disappeared from the marquees after 1993. She returned to acting in 2005 with a character role in a television serial.

real life and funny incidents that occurred on the sets during the filming of 'G3'?There are lots of incidents. We just had agreat time! We had fun, and we would pull pranks on each other. We were just like a big family, just coming and having a paid vacation of a time. 'Golmaal' is like a big family and I am not saying this as I am promoting my film I am saying this because I have worked with everybody on this film for three to four times.
What are the future set of releases that one is going to see you in?There's U…Mr Kalakaar,' a romantic film where I am playing an artist who falls in love with the management trainee played by Amrita Rao. 'Shor' is a serious slice of life movie where I am paying a petty criminal. There are three stories in the film and I'm playing the protagonist in one of the stories. So you could say it is my first off beatish kind of a film and then I'm also doing 'Run Bhola Run' which is a mad comedy.Shahid not dancing with Priyanka
Priyanka Chopa and Shahid Kapoor are the atest couple to sizzle around the industry. Well it was recently reported that Shahid has opted out of the IIFA Awards 2009, where he was supposed to perform with Priyanka from their upcoming film Kaminey.
Shahid is busy with his commitment for Ken Ghosh's flick. On the other side, Priyanka too is busy shooting in Singapore for Yash Raj movie Pyaar Impossible.
“Priyanka very eager to perform on the song from Kaminey [^] but due to her prior commitments to Yash Raj, she won’t be performing this year,” says a person close to the actress.
It was also reported that Priyanka will be giving a miss to the Awards. “Well she is busy but then she decided to attend the function and return back to her shoot later. She doesn’t have time to rehearse and perform but will be attending the awards,” concludes the source.

The 37-year-old Indian Bollywood actress’ friends and people whom she has worked with reflect on their relationship with her and recount many untold stories.
mrita singh was born into a distinguished Punjabi Sikh family which hailed from the village of Hadali in present-day Pakistan. Her father Shivinder Singh served in the army; her moher, Rukhsana sultana, a renowned socialite of muslim birth, is perhaps best known for her political activism during the emergency era. Amrita's paternal great-grandfather, Sir Sobha Singh, was a noted civil contractor who not only made a substantial fortune during the building of New Delhi in the early decades of the 20th century, but also received a knighthood for his efforts. His younger son, and Amrita's paternal grand-uncle, is the renowned litterateur Khushwant Singh. In 1991, Amrita abruptly gave up acting in order to build a family with the somewhat younger actor, Saif Ali Khan, who incidentally belonged to the princely family of Pataudi. The couple had two children: a daughter named Sara and a son named Ibrahim. Saif, who for over a decade had languished at the fringes of bollywood as a perennial aspirant, finally delivered a su

point of Rohit Shetty is that he is very organised, he is very clear and he is super fast. I mean with so many actors in such a big film. He doesn't waste time, he has finished this film and both the other 'Golmaals' also in record time without any delays, without any overshoots, without any reshoots.
You've worked with Kareena Kapoor, what do you like about her as a friend and a co actor
As a friend she is a very honest peron and loyal person. She's a warm person and a lot of fun. As a co actor she doesn't compromise on her 'look', on her clothes. She is a thorough professional. She is very punctual and doesn't interfere in other people's work which I think is a good plus point.
You've also worked with Ajay Devgan, two time National Award winning actor. What have you picked up from an artiste of his calibre?
From Ajay, I have learnt you should be serious about your work and at the same time you should learn to enjoy your work also. Ajay is a very fun loving guy. He has shown me the way to be serious at the same time, to be chilled out and have a good time.
You're also working with a senior actor like Mithunda, who's worked with your dad also
I have worked with him in an earlier film also, but there I didn't have a relation with him. But here he is playing my father and I think he is a brilliant serious actor and also a brilliant comic actor. He is very hard working and is too much fun. He cracks jokes all the time; he is always creating some mischief or the other. All in all, he is a very balanced person; he balances his hard work and enjoyment very well.
What qualities do you think are necessary to be a good comic actor?Comedy is serious business, so to be a good comic actor you have to take your wok very seriously. One must enjoy the scene, enjoy the moment. It is important to have a sense of humour to be a good comic actor. You need to have the ability to laugh when you watch a film. If you can laugh at a joke... you are able to create a joke also when you're making comedy films. It is important to be a well rounded person and sincere.Which is your favorite scene in 'G3' and the most difficult one too?
My favorite scene in the movie is the most difficult scene. It's an emotional scene. For the first time, Lucky has an emotional scene, an emotional outburst with the other characters. That is my favorite scene; it was very challenging and a very well shot scene. It gave me a chance to show myself as a mute character and show an emotional outburst with so many characters other than myself.
Amid all the fun and laughter, is there any message in 'Golmaal 3'?ticular social message as such. This film is made for total entertainment, to liven up your spirits. Entertainment is the biggest social issue. It deals with that people have so much stress in their lives. A film like 'Golmaal 3' will come and take their stress away. This is the best we can do for society through this film.Have you done any stunts in this film like Kareena and Ajay have?

TURESort by : Whats New - Most Rated - Most Popular - Most EmaileCheck Out: Usman Qureshiaka Akki Junior who will be seen in Patiala House Click here to add this article to My Clip
By Bollywood Hungama News Network, February 7, 2011 - 18:28 ISAkshay Kumar, Usman QuresIn the forthcoming biggie Patiala House, viewers will get to see a young Akshay Kumar as well. Yes, a young actor named Usman Qureshi who bears an uncanny resemblance to the superstar will seen playing a teen Akshay in the film.
Apparently, director Nikhil Advani was on hunt for a young guy who would play the role of 17 year Akshay Kumar in his film Patiala House. It seems that was quite a long hunt as under no circumstances he wanted to compromise.
However, when he met Usman Qureshi, he was stunned by the similarity and Usman was on board in the first meeting itself. It seems the resemblance between Usman Qureshi and Akshay Kumar was so prominent that the entire team was thrilled to have him on the sets and gifted him with a special nick name 'Akki Junior'.
Producer Bhushan Kumar says, "We were completely bowled over by the striking resemblance between the two- Akshay and Usman. And after the screen test, without a doubt we found our 17 year old Akshay for Patiala Huse in Usman. It is not easy to play a younger role of such a superstar but Usman has done a great job."
Akshay Kumar was equally surprised and excited on seeing the resemblance and they also discovered that they had a common scar on the eyebrow. Akshay even admitted that his body structure and body type was quite like Usman when he was 17 years old.
Looks like viewers will indeed be in for a treat as they get to see both Akki Senior and Akki Junior in Patiala House which releases all over, this Friday, Feb 11, 2011.

er of adman Alique Padamsee and singer actor Sharon Prabhakar, Shahzahn says she is in Bollywood for a long haul.
''I am very focused about my work. I am a very ambitious girl and definitely would want to make it big in films,''she said.
Asked about her forthcoming ventures, Shahzahn said she was in talks with a couple of film makers but would only like to reveal details after anything is finalised. Jayalalithaa asks PM to break silence on scams
Chennai, Feb 9 : AIADMK general secretary J. Jayalalithaa Wednesday asked Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to speak up on the major corruption scams that have rocked the country.
Referring to a controversial deal between the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) and Devas Multimedia, she said: "It is a national shame that scams running to lakhs of crores of rupees are tumbling out of the UPA government's closet with monotonous regularity.
"How the prime minister, an economist of repute, can be a silent accomplice to such gross misdemeanours is beyond me," the former Tamil Nadu chief minister said in a statement.
The agreement relates to ISRO's launching of two satellites for Devas that allegedly brought huge benefits to the company at the cost of the national exchequer. ISRO has said no loss accrued from the deal.
"Manmohan Singh has to break his silence and come clean. Otherwise the people will lose faith in the central government and the nation will become a laughing stock before the whole world," Jayalalithaa said.
She said a thorough inquiry had to be initiated to find out how precious national resources were so flippantly being frittered away and who the real beneficiaries of such largesse were.
The government is also probing allegations that its former communications minister A. Raja gave away second generation spectrum at below the market prices. Raja is now in custody.
The Manmohan Singh government has also been hit charges of major financial irregularities in the organization of the Commonwealth Games in New Delhi in October.

makers may have thought that just like Mughal-E-Azam (which had re-released a few years earlier in a coloured version) or Sholay (which has been re-released a number of times already), even Hum Dono would manage to find an audience for itself. However, when compared to Mughal-E-Azam which had seen good success coming it's way on it's re-release 6 years ago, Hum Dono Rangeen didn't find any takers.
There are three main reasons for that. First and foremost, there was hardly any promotion due to which audience was unaware if Hum Dono Rangeen had actually released in theatres. Yes, Dev Anand did hot a premiere for the film and also reached out to the public via a few interviews and appearances etc. However, in the times of an aggressive in-your-face promotion, this wasn't good enough.
Secondly, Hum Dono was not a classic but just a good film. It was loved when released; it had also done well at the box office. However, it didn't have the kind of shelf life as the likes of Mughal-E-Azam or Sholay and wasn't enjoying multiple re-runs on satellite or via home video.
Thirdly, and most importantly, it is not a big screen extravaganza a la Mughal-E-Azam or Sholay that would have brought audience in dozens to theatres. Both films were hardcore entertainers and had number of factors (action sequences, romance, memorable dialogues etc.) that were enough to entice audience to check these out again. Hum Dono too had hit songs and powerful performances as its selling points. However, number of reasons as stated above meant that audience were not inclined enough to re-live the dream that Dev saab carried.

I'm eager to know Kajol's reaction to my work in 'Dil To Bachcha Hai': ShahzaNew Delhi, Feb 6 : Her muchyped debut with ashraj Films' 'Rocket Singh' may have failed to win her attention in Bollywood despite being paired opposite current heartthrob Ranbir Kapoor, but Madhur Bhandarkar's 'Dil To Bachcha Hai' has proved to be 'second time lucky' for newcomer Shahzahn Padamsee.
Shahzahn's portrayal of the cute and bubbly June Pinto who makes Bank executive Naren's (played by Ajay Devgn) heart go aflutter in the film has been lved by cinegoers as well as critics.
Though the upcoming actress is naturally ecstatic at the response that the film and her role have generated, there is one person whose reaction Shahzahn eagerly awaits - her favourite actress Kajol.
Shahzahn says that among the 90s actresses, Kajol is someone she looks up to as her inspiration
''I love her (Kajol). She's magic. I have no words to describe her. If I can be even one per cent of her, I would consider myself lucky. I am really eager to see what she thinks of my performance in 'Dil To Bachcha Hai',''Shahzahn told UNI in an interview here.
About her role of June Pinto in the film, Shahzahn says it is a dream role for any actress.June Pinto is a dream role for any young actress. It is a very amazing character. In fact, there is a lot of Shahzahn in June. Like June, I too am a high energy bubbly girl in real life,''the actress said.
In fact, Shahzahn said she is looking to do characters similar to June Pinto.High energy and bubbly is what I am and I would love to play characters of similar girls. One role that I would love to play is that essayed by Kareena Kapoor in 'Jab We Met',''she said.
Though hers was quite a promising debut in 'Rocket Singh', a film made under the Yashraj Films banner and where she was paired opposite the current heartthrob Ranbir Kapoor, the lukewarm response to the film proved to be a speed breaker in her career in Bollywood.
''After 'Rocket Singh', I did not get many offers. so, I went down South where I did two films one of which is a big Telugu hit called 'Orange' where I was paired opposite Superstar Chiranjeevi's Son Ramsharan. though my role in 'Orange' was a brief one, the appreciation that I got for the role was quite amazing. Seeing the response that I have got from the South, I plan to do at least one Telugu film every year,''Shahzahn said.

the indefatigable star, "The turn-out was heartwarming. All four screens were packed. It's a pity that Nanda and Sadhana could not be there. Nanda said she was unwell…I think they were shy. When you're away from the limelight for so long the clamorous adoring crowds can become a bit too much to handle. I intend to send them a bouquet each. After all Hum Dono is a triumph for them as well."
It's really nice to know what success does to people. After the success of films like Damini, Ghayal the proverbial 'dhaai kilo ka haath' only became more and strong with every passing film.
But the BO results of the latest blockbuster Yamla Pagla Deewana have changed it all. The'dhaai kilo ka haath' image has now given way to a very soft spoken Sunny Deol, who is now all set to play the role of a ... hold your breath... a Sanskrit teacher!
No wonder then, Sunny has started 'sporting' a dhoti, the tikka and the moustache these days. The film is called Mohalla 80 and is being directed by Chandraprakash Dwivedi, who shot to overnight fame with the television series of 'Chanakya', followed by the film Pinjar.
Sunny Deol, for whom learning Sanskrit has become a priority, expressed his desire to Bollywood Hungama that his dream role was that of his father Dharmendra's Satyakam. Sunny is confident that Mohalla 80 will prove to be a Satyakam for him.
The said film is slated for an August 2011 release.   IN FEAURESSort by : Whats New - Most Rated - Most Popular - Most Emailed
3 reasons why Hum Dono didn't find audience Click here to add this article to My Clips
By Joginder Tuteja, February 7, 2011 - 14:03 ISTThe weekend gone by saw the re-release of Hum Dono in a coloured version with enhanced picture quality and sound. Though Dev Anand was understandably gung-ho about the event, eventually Hum Dono Rangeen (the new title of the film) just turned out to be a show of goodwill for him with the industry coming in unison on its arrival, 50 years since it's release. However, the box office told a different tale with audience not quite driving in hordes to catch it in theatre.

Mystery Guest this week is someone who stands for Acting (with a capital 'A')! He is someone who showed the world that acting has got nothing to do with the mother tongue. Besides the million films in which he starred in, his masterpiece will always remain the one in which he starred alongwith Big B, the same film which is now being remade with the Gen-Next superstars! If that wasn't 'clue' enough, then, you can always catch up with him on your idiot box. Looking at his career ka safar so far, all that we can say is ...'Kya Baat, Kya Baat, Kya Baat hai Sir..." We are really very proud of you!
If you think that you have guessed who this week's Guess Who, then, waste no time and post your answers below:
Dev Anand's heroines Nanda, Sadhana dodge premiere Click here to add this article to My Clips
By Subhash K. Jha, 2011 - 11:38 ISTDev Anand From Aamir Khan-Kiran Rao to Shabana Azmi-Javed Akhtar, Shatrughan Sinha, Naseeuddin Shah to Ranbir Kapoor...the entire who's who of the film fraternity turned up for the premiere of Dev Anand's Hum Dono on Thursday night. Except for the two leading ladies. While one of them Nanda begged off saying she was unwell when Dev Anand called her personally, the other leading lady Sadhana apparently didn't even take Dev Saab's call!
It is an unwritten rule in the Indian film industry that no one ever says no to Dev Anand. That rule just changed. Two of Dev Saab's former co-stars,the legendary but alas reclusive Sadhana and Nanda who played the two heroines in the 1961 blockbuster drama Hum Dono declined to attend the premier of the classic's colorized digital version of the classic that is being revived with much fanfare and gusto.
Most excited of all was of course the film's leading man the indefatigable Dev Anand who plays a double role opposite Sadhana and Nanda. Apparently the ebullient evergreen hero personally called up his two Hum Dono divas asking them to be present by his side at the joyous revival of the classic, not thinking for second they would turn down his invitation.
To Dev Saab's shock and annoyance both Sadhana and Nanda declined the invitation to attend the premiere.
A senior actress, who is close to both Nanda and Sadhana, defends her colleagues' elusiveness. "Dev Saab personally invited them. But neither Nanda nor Sadhana is attending. I tried to convince them to go since it's a big moment for them both. Hum Dono was a turning point in their careers. But they are much too nervous of crowds. Unlike Dev Saab who enjoys public appearances and interaction with fans Sadhana and Nanda are away from the limelight. Sadly they missed out on this glorious moment."
Euphoric with the attendance and ovation at the premiere Dev Saab expressed regret at his two leading ladies' absence from the premiere

eally not true. The CBFC gave him an A rating because it felt there were two very intimate scenes and he was asked to cut a dialogue that said, "All women politicians have to sleep with someone to get a ticket." He went to a reviewing committee and to the FCAT. Here, he finally agreed to some cuts, I think, before releasing his film as U/A.
Reflections - Is Salman's quest for change of term 'Bollywood' justifiable? Click here to add this article to My Clips
By Joginder Tuteja, February 7, 2011 - 12:35 ISTSalman Khan Salman Khan recently tweeted that he hates the word 'Bollywood'. By doing this, he has joined the likes of many out there who aren't too pleased with Bollywood as the chosen "name" for Hindi film industry. While Amitabh Bachchan is another top celebrity who has made his displeasure quite clear about the industry being made to look like a poor cousin of Hollywood with it being addressed as Bollywood, Salman Khan has opened the debate all over again. No wonder, it is also the topic of discussion for this week's 'Reflections'.
Is it really an issueIf Amitabh Bachchan and Salman Khan are the select few who have expressed their displeasure about 'Bollywood' being in circulation, it is fine as they are entitled to their opinion. However, the question that comes to one's mind is - 'Other than the fact that it is made to sound like Hollywood and hence presumed to be a poorer cousin of the films coming from West, is it really an issue if Bollywood continues to be the chosen word?'
After all, at the end of the day, Bollywood is just a word and the one which has given Hindi film industry its identity. It may have borrowed from its Western counterparts but how does it actually make a difference? At the end of the day, the term is in circulation for decades now and generations have called the Hindi film industry by this name.
Will a change really make any difference?ay was changed to Mumbai and there was much cry and outrage amongst those who loved the city by the name which was around for decades. So did the same people who swore by Bombay actually started calling it Mumbai? I suspect.
So why a reference to Mumbai v/s Bombay? Well, the reason is simple. Even if Bollywood changes to anything else, it is impossible to imagine it being called by a different name for many more years at the least. Moreover, for the world (a few million and that's about it) which uses the word 'Bollywood' in their day to day vocabulary, one can't expect the change to settle down in practical terms.
Why an outrageThereThat's because other than a select few in the industry, not a single soul can be considered to be sensitive around the background of Bollywood coinage. For them, it is just a word that takes them into a world where they wish to be seated in darkness and enjoy an outing on the big screen. Now whether this finds its base in Hindi film industry, Western fim industry or any other film industry is of least importance.

lman Khan Widespread change? An impossible taskIf Bombay changes to Mumbai, it is still (theoretically at the least) possible because there is a certain diktat that was set around it. However one can't expect the film industry to take any such drastic steps because first and foremost, the term Bollywood is hardly a 'listed' one. This also means that there is no one person or organisation having an authority over the word. Just like no one can force anyone to use the term Bollywood in their conversation, same holds true vice versa as well.
Resultantly, even if tomorrow there is a body which is formed that mandates stoppage of Hindi film industry being addressed as Bollywood, there would be many out there who would follow their own path and won't really have anyone commanding them to stop doing that. Hypothetically speaking, even if the industry in general stands up to call Bollywood by a different name, there would be other bodies that may have their own reasoning.
Now that would include media for sure which can't be expected to stand in unison for this 'cause' (if at all it can be termed one). Everyone in Indian media at the least can well be expected to have his/her own agenda and one can well expect factions to be developed here. And not to forget the global media which anyways knows the Hindi film industry by only one name - 'Bollywood'.
Are we hesitant to changOf course people would say - 'Change is good'. Yes, it indeed is. But when the change by itself is based on a foundation which is questionable and sounds like the one which has been established just for the sake of it without any real need, purpose or objective, it just ends up being the kind that can be relegated to the background with the industry concentrating on something far more important.
Really, for all practical purposes, the entire exercise is futile and at the end of the day just a fodder for debate. There would definitely be pros and cons but when it comes to practicality, feasibility and most importantly, acceptability of the change, it is impossible to see that truly happening.
So yes, I truly believe that Bollywood is as sweet sounding as it gets, isn't derogatory at all, gives Hindi film industry it's own identity in the way it is addressed, is the much used and loved word for many out there (whether belonging to the industry or outside it) and should just be left as it is without any thought being given around making a change.
That's my thought, what's yoursGoooood Mrning people... if you thought that the month of February only meant Love, Romance and Valentines... then think again, for its also the month of Guess Who, the game which is, by now, popularly known as 'World's Envy, India's Pride'

Interestingly, the 'Golden Kela Awards' organizers feel that our very own sizzling and glamorous 'babes' of Bollywood should also get a share of this award as the beauties are there fighting for the 'Worst Actor (Female)' award, where a young Sonam Kapoor is giving a good fight to seniors like Priyanka Chopra and Ash.
If Razzies who will host their 31st Annual Razzies this year to crown the worst actors from the West, then the Kelas are doing a good job in East as they are there to make the stars from B-town share a taste of 'worst pie'.
